Financial spreadsheet reaches 1 million views
Normally, when we talk about spreadsheets, we would think, numbers, graphs and charts. They would be used in offices and at homes for tracking expenses and do some occasional number crunching. That’s productive and all but more likely than not, they will end up back to the wilderness that is your hard drive, probably never to be seen again.
At EditGrid, we have made spreadsheets fun (and productive, of course) and allowed our users’ imagination go wild letting them define their personal spreadsheets. One user has done just that and gone where no spreadsheets have gone before, 1 million plus views. Who would have thought spreadsheets can be so captivating?
Just last week, our first user, Wargodriver (in Chinese), reached that tremendous feat. His ADR spreadsheet is simply amazing. The spreadsheet provides a dashboard view of financial markets in Asia, US and Europe. You are able to analyze and view the popular traded stocks in Hong Kong and China stock market, as well as see how other popular indicies around the world are performing.
The data on the spreadsheet are dynamically generated from open resources around the web and it utilizes our Remote Data feature for the stock quotes and foreign exchanges and our Dynamic Image feature for the financial charts.
Now, that’s some good stuff! Congratulations to Wargodriver!
